Want to play Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp? Sorry, but it’s only available in soft-launch in Australia. Here’s a quick, easy way to create an iTunes account in another country, straight from your iPhone or iPad.
First, go into your phone or tablet’s settings and sign out of your normal iTunes account. Then open up the App Store, find a free game or app, and click on the “Get” button. You’ll be prompted to either use an existing Apple ID or create a new one. You’ll want to create new, of course.
You’ll be prompted to enter an email address and choose a password. You’ll need an email address that isn’t associated with an iTunes account. I generally create a new Gmail address when I need to sign in to a new country’s store.

The most important part here is selecting the country. Since Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available in Australia, we’ll select that.
You’ll be asked to enter your name and date of birth and set up some security questions. Then comes the billing information, which is where things get a little tricky.
Your best bet under “Payment Method” is “None.” If you enter a credit card or PayPal account, it will need to have a billing address in the country of the account you are creating. Selecting “None” allows you to enter any address, as long as it is in the correct country. In this case, I Googled Australian hotels and picked the first one that came up.

Once this step is complete, all that’s left is email verification. Enter the code sent to your email address, and now you’ve got a semi-functional iTunes account in another country.
I say semi-functional, because you will not be able to make in-app purchases in the games you play from other countries—though maybe that’s a blessing. Once the game launches in your actual region you should be able to re-download and spend until your loved ones host an intervention.
In the case of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, it is currently region locked to Australian Nintendo accounts, so you’ll have to play unlinked until the global release in late November.

I have a Blur by abine.com account for saving logins. It’s not bad, but what really got me hooked is it’s masked email service. It generates an email address, something like [email protected], that forwards to your real address. If you get spam or emails you don’t want, click a link to disable that address. It works great, problem for me is that you have to let the software or site create the address for you before you can use it. I decided to look around to see if there was a service that did the same thing but that I could make up the address on the spot without needing to generate it. I did, and it is called 33mail.com. There is a free level that gets you 10mb of emails and unlimited addresses. It does put ads in the emails. You can pay $12 a year and get 50mb of emails, unlimited email addresses, no ads, and can use your own domain. So far, I am loving it and plan on keeping the service. I wish all email providers had a service like this. I know I can make “aliases” with Gmail using a “+” after the main address and the make a filter to delete unwanted emails to them but just being able to click a link in an email to disable the address is a lot more convenient in my opinion. So, if you need/want a service like this, I recommend 33mail.com.
Lock Screen Reflection has been updated to 3.0! It now has a preview dialog (can be suppressed by using SILENT) and can now be set to run at startup.
Make sure you are trying to save to a folder you have full access/rights to. Make sure you have it installed as admin on the system.
No, I don’t. There is no virus in any of my software as long as it is downloaded from my site.
to it’s original location on Tumblr. I was trying postash.io and publishing Evernotes but it just didn’t work out the way I liked. Feels good to be back here on Tumblr.
